Hi, I’m Luwis.

Yes, you read that correctly. I assure you it’s not a spelling error. 

I’m a portraiture photographer based in Sydney, Australia. I like to take photos of people (and other things from time to time).

Growing up, I have always been a creative and artistic person. This might come as a surprise to you - I was very much into art as a youngin’, whether that’d be drawing, painting, et cetera, et cetera. At some point, I developed a strong passion for visual storytelling, and look where that led me. As a self-taught photographer, I am always learning and improving in order to become the best that I can be.

I find people fascinating, particularly in photography. My goal is to show the beauty, grace, strength and enthusiasm of people because I believe every individual deserves to look and feel their coolest, most beautiful, most authentic self.

I always aim to capture the personality, emotion and essence of my subjects whilst trying to convey their story and their uniqueness in an image. My work ranges from simple to cool to weird to inspiring. I do it all. I also do couples and family portraits. 

To me, portrait photography is not just about taking a portrait; it’s about capturing a unique moment.
